Unfortunately it is impossible to photograph how magnificent this piece is without showing you every single detail, and then doing it all over again from the reverse side. One side is a rich Thai Silk Brocade textile with gold or silver thread woven throughout. The other side is an extremely ornate Thai Silk Sarong, made for ceremonial events, with an intricate brocade and metallic thread detail in a complimentary color. This piece is just far too elegant to wear anywhere other than the Opera. Or a Red Carpet affair. Or a Black Tie Gala. Or the Met Costume Ball. Or to a wedding where you need to shine bright.
